La infancia en la Sociedad del Conocimiento

El contexto conceptual de la Sociedad del Conocimiento ofrece elementos nuevos sobre la posición que puedan llegar a ostentar los niños y adolescentes en el futuro próximo. Los variables se registran en torno a la importancia que la educación y el espíritu crítico toma en las Sociedades del Conocimiento, las perspectivas de una sociedad global que opera en red y adquiere conciencia de los problemas en un contexto universal, la participación y las innovaciones en los espacios públicos de decisión colectiva, la determinación de un marco de suficiencia ética referenciado en los derechos e intereses de las nuevas generaciones, y la construcción de nuevos escenarios sociales que sitúen a los niños como protagonistas activos del actuar colectivo.

The conceptual context of the Knowledge Society offers new elements on the position that children and teenagers may be able to hold in the foreseeable future. The variables are registered according to the importance that education and a critical spirit get from the Knowledge Societies, the perspectives of a global society that operate through the net and that acquire an awareness of the problems in a universal context, the participation and innovation in public spaces for collective decision-making, the determination of a framework of ethical sufficiency based on the rights and interests of new generations, and the construction of new social scenes that place children as the active main characters in collective actions.
